Just found your blog by following your title from your comment on mine!
Having read your profile I now see you are a fellow OU soul. I did my degree with them in the 80's when my son was small and then at primary school, I didn't drive, and DH was away long days at work. We lived in a village with three buses a day....the OU was my life saver!
I did two more credits in the 90's to up my degree to Honours.
It was all completely wonderful and I'd love to do it all over again!
I did mainly the Environment, with Geography and Third World Studies.
So your mom has a green thumb hummmm?
Ours can just grow plants that she buys & sticks in pots and then hopes for the best.
